The injection of new coaches with new ideas while still maintaining the previous AB ethos of “faster – stronger – more intensity” is such a revolutionary move that it will keep the players fresh as they have said and still ensure the continuing success of the AB legacy.
With McCaw and Co. at the helm it’s all about teaching the new players into buying into their ethos and systems, which so far seems to be working. It also helps that NZ’s ITM and Super Club coaches are also buying into the National Teams playing philosophy too.
Funny that Henry had shown the rest of the rugby world the blue print to a successful and yet still attractive and entertaining game to both player and viewer but no-one apart from Oz bought into it, to all their demise I believe. Unfortunately it seems Oz has fallen off the boat since the RWC and Dean’s looks lost for ideas how to get back up. The rest of his panel don’t seem to have any ideas, if they had any to start off with, either.
We are fortunate that Henry was the man at the right time at the right place with the right vision...Henry had a dream – The AB’s facilitated the dream – Hansen is continuing the dream... the legacy continues.
Exciting times...Hei ha!!!

To me the SA contests will always be the AB's greatest rivalry. Don't get me wrong Oz will always be our psychological nemesis because they play a similar style and game to us and because of the "big bro lil bro" mentality we have against our cousins in the WEST ISLAND.
But SA rivalry is much bigger than that, It goes back to the "white v black" struggle, if I may coin a phrase. We had a great and proud rugby history that enabled players of all races and creed to represent its national team and on the other side you had a white apartheid team that was determined to smash the very black off our jerseys by fair or by foul means because of our very history and values as an integrated nation. We lost more than we won in those times but we never backed down from a fight.
I believe because of what we represented in those days you see the respect and admiration we have amongst the black communities in SA today....maybe not so much for our field endeavours but the HOPE of one day being able to represent their country on the same playing field as their white oppressors.
...and that should not be lost on this generation the respect SA now affords us as a nation... Hei ha!!!
